What is a MQL?

by | Oct 22, 2020

A Marketing Qualified Lead refers to leads that show the most promising prospect out of other leads. In other words, those prospects that have the highest chance of becoming a customer.

Similar to Sales Accepted Leads (SAL), in MQL, leads need to pass the criteria that a company has created, which list all the qualities that are considered to be valuable. MQL occurs at the earlier stage of the sales funnel than SAL.
