What Is Conquest Marketing?

by | Mar 31, 2021

Conquest marketing is a tactic where marketing efforts are geared towards convincing customers outside your customer base to buy your products or services

Just as the word “conquest” suggests, it’s all about getting new customers who are not already on your current customer base, and yes, this includes trying to win someone else’s customer. Conquest marketing is a tough one to implement. It requires extensive research, dedication and can be time-consuming. But if implemented correctly, it can be an effective marketing strategy for your business.

An example of where companies use conquest marketing often can be found in the automotive industry. Car dealerships are actively using conquest tactics to get customers to buy the same vehicle or a different brand from their dealership instead of their competitors.
