What Is Excessive Scrolling?

by | Nov 22, 2020

Excessive Scrolling Is Indicated By Any Session Where The Up & Down Scrolling Is Higher Than Average

Excessive Scrolling is another Microsoft Clarity metric to better understand a website UX.

Unlike other Clarity Metrics, this focuses on scrolling rather than clicking (like Rage Clicks, Dead Clicks and Quick Backs). Excessive Scrolling could indicate poorly structured content or a hard to navigate website. Excessive Scrolling can be diagnosed either through Scroll Heatmaps or viewing recorded sessions.
