How many results are shown on the first page of Google’s search results?
Google search results are often changing and differ from user to user. We’ve examined north of 1,000 different search results over a period of time, to determine the maximum number of search results shown on average. The maximum number of search results shown by Google on the first
SERP, is on
average 43. The number is lower for mobile users if you do not take into account the ability to swipe left or right on certain sections. Organic image search results were determined to be a “wild card” in our search process due to the amount of times they show up with others. If you take out the image search results, there is an average maximum of only
31 listings on the first page of Google, with
45% of these being organic and
55% being paid.
