Transactional search queries are search queries whereby a user is interested in making a transaction, such as buying a product

Search requests that indicate interest in purchasing is considered to be a transactional query. For example, search requests that include verbs such as “buy,” “order,” and “download, as well as the product’s or brand’s name like “iPhone 12.”

A user who enters a transactional search query is considered to be at the end of the funnel. Therefore, marketers need to target transactional search queries as they have a high chance of conversions.
