What Is A Wireframe?

by | Jan 2, 2021

A wireframe is a visual outline that shows where structural parts of a page will be located

A wireframe is created early in the development process of a website. It outlines the basic structure of the page, user flow, and site features.

The primary purpose of the wireframe is to give a clear visual understanding of a page before the creative stage gets underway. Other aspects, such as color, styling, and graphics, are usually kept to a minimum at this stage.

A wireframe can be compared to a blueprint of a house, which shows where the foundations of things will be located, such as plumbing and electrical placement.
