by | Jul 30, 2021

The distribution score is Facebook’s metric that measures how well your video post is performing on Facebook’s pages.

The distribution score is Facebook’s metric that measures how well your video post is performing on Facebook’s pages. The distribution scores give marketers a straightforward metric that shows which posts are doing well and which aren’t.

The metrics include factors that are important to get more organic distribution on Facebook. The higher the scores you get, the higher the chance of your content to appear within Facebook’s platform.

The key metrics are:

Audience retention/average minutes watched: The average time viewers watched your video.

1-minute Views: The number of times viewers watched your video for 1 minute or longer.

Reactions: The number of reactions (such as the like button)received on your video.

Comments: The number of comments received on your video post over a period of time.

Shares: The number of times people shared your video post over a period of time.

Users can access the Distribution Scores by going to the section in Creator Studio and then clicking on the “Published” tab. The “Distribution” is located on the column to the right of “Details.”

How to improve your Distribution Scores?

Determine which elements of your video posts worked best by comparing your highest-performing video to the lowest. Focus on the visual and narrative that had the most success of engagement with your audience, then apply these to your next video to get a better score and have a higher chance of appearing organically within Facebook’s platform.

Important to note that you’ll need to have at least 5 posts to see the Distribution Score.
