HTML5 ads are ads that allow users to create interactive and animated advertising. Unlike the once popular Flash-ads (now largely obsolete), HTML5 ads are compatible with many browsers and operating systems. HTML ads comprise of different files such as video and image components and HTML file.
HTML ads have become popular due to their light-weight and resource prioritization. HTML ads can be created within Adobe’s Creative Suite or through using Google Web Designer, among other platforms. Google has also pushed for AMP HTML5 ads for a better delivery on mobile pages.
