Create A Facebook Page

Creating a Facebook page can be essential to building your business or company’s online social media presence. Just like a website is a virtual storefront for clients or customers to come and experience your business, the same is for having a Facebook page. It is a social media storefront from your company or business.

Here are a few easy steps you can take to create a Facebook page for your business.

Create a Facebook page : Step One - Login with a personal account

Step 1: Log into your personal Facebook account

When creating a Facebook page, you must have it linked to a personal Facebook account. If you do not want to link it to your personal account, create a new profile just for linking purposes.

If you are creating your page on a desktop, go to your profile and on the top right side of your profile, you will see the square of nine dots.

Click on that and you should see a panel on the right that has the heading “Create” and the options on the left titled “Social”, “Entertainment”, “Shopping”, etc.

If you can see the “Create” panel, click on the word “Page”

If you cannot see the “Create” panel, click on the “Pages” heading under the “Social” section on the left-hand side. This will then take to you a page of the pages you manage or follow. There will be a button on the left-hand side that says “Create new Page”. You can click on that.

Create a Facebook page : Step two - Create a page and fill in informationStep 2: Fill out as much information as you can

No matter the steps you took to arrive, everyone should see the heading “Create a Page” on the left-hand side with several empty text boxes to fill out the information.

This step is definitely self-explanatory but nevertheless important.

You will go through and title your page, select your category, and a detailed description of your offerings/purpose. Once you finish that, you can click next and upload a profile picture and header image. Make sure your images are relevant to your offerings/purpose. If nothing else, your logo could be a great option for a profile picture.

Be sure to make sure notifications and email notifications are on so you can stay engaged with your page followers.

Create a Facebook page : Step Three - Invite people to like and follow your pageStep 3: Invite followers and people to like your page

The last step when creating your Facebook page is to invite as many people as you can to like and follow it. Get your name out there and start engaging with the community.

Now that you know how to create a Facebook page, it is time to get going! You have friends to invite and posts to create!
