Solution: Develop a social media and content strategy designed to increase engagement while educating consumers. Promoting the Auto Show through paid media and directing traffic back to the website for ticket purchases.

Results: Increased the Auto Show’s fan base and brand recognition. Provided greater visibility for sponsors, partners, and participating manufacturers/vendors.

Objective

We were tasked with regaining the auto show
audience coming out of the pandemic and
growing social engagement as well as ticket
sales/attendance. The biggest obstacle was
overcoming the reluctance of manufacturer
participation.

Our Approach

Corkboard Concepts featured – through organic social posts and paid ads – all the highlighted exhibits and activities of the event. The Corkboard team sent out notifications to all manufacturers and vendors as they became available and pushed interactive events. Organic and paid social media content was created before the event with a combination of event details, ticket sale information, and car trivia to build engagement. Then there was a series of content captured and posted during the event to help showcase the event’s offerings and help encourage attendees to visit. The event was presented as fun for the whole family and promoted as a local event that offered much more than just vehicle displays.

The Results

Ticket sales and event attendance surpassed past years even prior to the COVID-19 Pandemic. Social media both organically and paid reached a larger audience than years prior as well and helped build an engaged audience to build off of for next year’s event to outperform this year.
