What does CPC mean?

Cost per click or CPC references the cost of each individual click on your ad and is a benchmark for budget efficiency. Common usages of this are in Google Ads (previously Google Adwords), as a campaign is charged per individual ad click. It is also used across other marketing platforms, such as Facebook Ads, Programmatic Display Advertising, and others, to compare traffic costs and determine where budgets are most efficient. This is commonly compared with or used alongside PPC and CPA advertising, and it is further refined into a bidding strategy with eCPC and oCPC.
