What is Geofencing?

Geofencing is Geotargeting, But More Specific.

Geofencing is a more granular form of geotargeting that uses a smaller geographical radius paired with GPS, Wifi or Bluetooth to trigger advertisements to a potential customer. Geofencing is putting a hypothetical “fence” around your business that will trigger an ad to anyone within that fence, searching within that fence, or showing interest within that fence. The “fence” can be a small geographic radius, storefront or parking lot targeting, household identification, or free-ranging shapes drawn over locations on the map.
