CRO Services

Turn the traffic you already have into more leads, sales and revenue.

Driving traffic to your website is only part of the digital marketing equation. SEO, paid advertising, social media, and other channels contribute to bringing more people to your site, but if those visitors aren’t taking the actions that matter to your business, more traffic alone won’t yield better results.

Corkboard Concepts offers CRO (Conversion Rate Optimization) to help businesses close that gap. Using data, user behavior insights, and controlled testing, we identify exactly where visitors are running into friction, and create strategies to improve them. One of the tools we use to put those insights into action is VWO, which allows us to test different website experiences and determine which ones perform best.

CRO is the ongoing process of improving your website’s user experience to encourage more visitors to complete a desired action. That action could be:

Why Conversion Rate Optimization Matters

Imagine this: Two businesses each receive 10,000 website visitors per month.

Business A converts 2% of those visitors, generating 200 conversions.

Business B converts 4%, generating 400 conversions.

Neither needs more traffic to generate more leads. Business B is getting significantly more value from the traffic it already has.

That’s the opportunity with CRO. Instead of focusing exclusively on increasing the number of people who visit your website, CRO asks: “How can we make the website work harder for the people who are already there?”

Even seemingly small improvements to a website can have a meaningful impact when applied consistently across thousands of visitors.

We Start CRO With Data, Not Guesswork

Your internal team may believe a particular headline is stronger, a certain CTA is more compelling, or a page layout is easier to navigate. But what actually matters most is how real visitors interact with the website.

That’s why our CRO process starts with data.

Depending on the website and campaign, we may look at metrics such as:

  • Conversion rate
  • Form submissions
  • Phone calls
  • Appointment requests
  • Button and CTA clicks
  • Landing page engagement
  • Page exits
  • Traffic sources
  • Device performance
  • Funnel drop-off points

We can also use tools such as heatmaps and session recordings to better understand how visitors navigate a page. These insights can reveal patterns that aren’t always obvious from traditional analytics alone.

The data gives us a hypothesis. Testing helps determine whether that hypothesis is correct.

Corkboard’s Approach to Conversion Rate Optimization

Our team identifies areas where visitors may be encountering friction, develops a hypothesis for improvement, and uses testing to determine whether the proposed change actually improves performance.

One successful test doesn’t mean the optimization process is finished. In fact, a winning test often creates another opportunity.

If a new CTA increases conversions, the next question might be whether different CTA messaging performs even better. If a redesigned landing page outperforms the original, individual elements of that new page can then be tested and refined.

This creates a continuous cycle:

Analyze → Develop a Hypothesis → Test → Measure → Learn → Optimize

Over time, these incremental improvements can create a significantly better website experience.

With tools such as VWO, we can run A/B tests, Split URL tests, and other experiments to compare website experiences and measure their impact on conversions. VWO also supports additional testing and behavior-analysis capabilities, giving marketers tools to understand both what visitors do and how different experiences perform.

Conversion Rate Optimization Services FAQs

Almost any element that could influence a visitor’s decision-making process can potentially be tested. Some elements to run CRO on includes

  • A different headline
  • A new CTA
  • A shorter form
  • Different imagery
  • A different content layout
  • Changes to navigation
  • Different messaging or value propositions

A/B testing is one of the most common CRO techniques.
In an A/B test, visitors are shown different versions of an element on a webpage, and the performance of each version is compared. The original version serves as the control, while the modified version serves as the variation or variable. It’s important to identify only one variable to test at a time. We’re not simply deciding which version we like better- we are allowing visitor behavior to provide the answer.

When we’re comparing substantially different versions of a page, or even completely different page designs, a Split URL test is more appropriate than an A/B test.

Split URL testing is when visitors are directed to different URLs representing the control and variation, and the conversion performance of those experiences is compared.

For example, if a business is considering a completely redesigned landing page, we could compare the existing page against the redesigned experience rather than attempting to modify dozens of individual elements within a single A/B test.

This gives businesses an opportunity to evaluate larger strategic changes with real visitor data.
