SEO Intern Duties:
At Corkboard Concepts, our internships are not solely for learning and “coffee-runs”. We will provide initial and ongoing instruction to develop the candidate and we will bring you coffee (if desired;), but this individual is expected to grasp new ideas quickly and implement them as part of a larger team.
The duties of the SEO intern require a variety of different tasks from research to planning and strategizing to implementing. These include:
- Researching and writing content
- Analyzing Google Analytics, Search Console and other tools
- Editing or recommending keyword/heading changes
Due to the nature of this position the ideal candidate will be:
- In pursuit of a 4-year degree in business or communications (i.e. marketing or journalism)
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to learn quickly and to turn learning into action.
- A strong understanding of “searching” for answers (i.e. using Google)
An initial understanding of SEO is appreciated but not required. We will provide initial training and an ongoing framework (including courses and certifications) for developing better competencies in Search Engine Optimization and Conversion Rate Optimization.
